Booby Trap

Last week, I received a text message from my cousin who wants to order a fondant cake...well...it's kind of kinky. I was grinning while i was reading the text because they want a Boob fondant cake for the birthday of her husband's boss. I said to myself, OK! I can do that...another challenge!'. It was another first for me to make a cake like that.

I managed to take some pictures on how i did it, but not detailed one. Here it is...

Step 1. Since I don't have a ball pan, i just use 2(10cm) stainless steel bowl to bake a rounded cake. I just trim the excess on the sides and on top to shape it. (because the bowl is flat bottomed)

Step 2. Frosting the cake. Make a 1cm space between the round cake so you can make a cleavage when u cover it with fondant.

Step 3. Covering with fondant. I tint the fondant with peach gel food color.

Step 4. Making the brassier.

Step 5. I made 2 nipples before detailing the bra.

Gosh! I don't know why I feel embarrassed.

I cut some fondant below the nipples to make it like these...

Step 6. Details on the bra, I've decided to make a zebra design.

Lace.

I had an idea to make it an under wire bra. ;D

Step 7. And lastly, the bra strap and...

Voila!

I couldn't erase my smile from start to finish. I can't believe I did it because it is my first. I even feel embarrassed even to myself! When my husband got a glimpse on the cake, I can't describe his amusement over it. Geez! ;D

Angry Bird Fever

I know some of you have been or still addicted on playing Angry Birds. But to tell you the truth, I tried playing it twice or thrice... and I never played it again. I guess I get bored so easily and never had a patience playing it. And since it became a big hit...clients ordering Angry Birds themed cakes and cupcakes. My son too got addicted to it, so he wanted an Angry Birds cake and cuppies when his 7th birthday came though his party is a Justice League themed. And because I wanted to give him the best of the best birthday party, I gave in to his request.

Days ahead before his party, I made the Angry Birds cupcake topper. BTW JM's birthday was last year. :)

I made an egg shaped topper with his name 'JM" on top.
This is my first time making fondant cakes and cupcakes... I thought I couldn't make it on time. Making it all afternoon till morning, rest for a couple of hours and add some design to make it not to plain.

Took a picture of the cake together with the cupcakes.

Took a picture of my son looking so happy with his cupcake giveaways. Sorry for the mess at the background... heehee!

And the most important part of the party... blowing out all the candles.

And before the party ends, guests rushing to take home some cupcake giveaways.

My families and friends liked it and even complimenting how beautiful the cakes are. I think it is their first time to see a different kind of  cake setting unlike the old style of store bought regular cakes with piped icing, carton backgrounds and non-edible cake toppers.
Fondant cakes is definitely perfect for any occasion, they look so beautiful and charming and give so much class in any event. I spend so much money on buying the materials and ingredients i needed, but I never regretted it...because I saw how my son looked so happy just by looking on his cakes. Now, my hobby turned to...somehow...a small business. :)

Here are some of the cakes and cupcakes I made for my clients.
Ordered by my High school friend Alely for her son Alec.

And these cupcakes, requested by nephew Gabriel on his 4th birthday.

That's all folks! Have a great day! :)

First Time Blogger

Hello! I'm Jenny, this is my first time to try out blogging...so forgive me for being an idiot for this one. I wish, somehow, i can learn to blog through time. Anyway...I love to bake and make fondant cakes and cupcakes. I'm not a professional fondant cake maker but I know how to make one and I wanted to show my creations to everybody.
Here are some cake and cupcakes I made for my Mother-in-law's 63rd Birthday last September 26. She loves shoes and color blue. I made the shoe pink to make it more girly. :)
